Another Day

Not much to blog about this evening. My mom and I basically took it easy today. We went and got some Japanese, and it was yummy. We were actually looking for a Curves, but the one we found was closed. So we went to Wal-Mart and grabbed a few groceries. On the way back to the house I spotted a Curves. So I went in there and worked out once around the circuit instead of twice because I'm not supposed to get to hot or be near sun. Then we came home and unloaded the groceries and dipped in the pool here in the neighborhood. It was nice and relaxing, and I was covered so I didn't get any sun. The only thing with taking this medicine is it makes me hungry ALL the time. So I feel as if that's all I have done is eat. I wish I could get the TV here to work, and I can just there is no sound so there must be one button or something I'm not pushing right. I just finished watching the newer Parent Trap, and I still think I like the old one much better. I might watch both Sister Acts in bit. We fed the duck tonight, and we had to feed him worms...that my sister, and brother-in-law are raising. Well I think tonight is going to be a short post. Maybe one of these days I can get around to fixing yesterdays post. There is a sentence before the bridge picture that states this is where part of The Patriot was filmed, but it won't let me edit it or anything of that nature.

New Creation

Not really sure why this is underlined, but this is the bridge that "The Patriot" were filmed on..where he is battling for his two dogs.

Here are just a few of the flowers that we saw in the Butterfly House.
This is where "The Notebook" was filmed, and he takes her out in the water and proposes to her.
Look at the reflection from the water.

"Flutterbys" as I used to call them when I was little. I could have sat here all day, and just relaxed and watched them.

This morning my mom and I got up and were at Cypress Gardens around 9:30 that way we could beat the heat, and I wouldn't have to be out in the sun. We took a boat tour through the swamp, and then saw some Caiman Crocodiles...pronounced like my name, but only spelled differently, alligators, and some gorgeous butterflies. In this swamp two movies you may have seen were filmed here. They were "The Patriot," and "The Notebook." Gorgeous scenery all around, and I can't believe that this was all man made. It wasn't to hot, and quite enjoyable and relaxing to say the least. Thank you to my sister and brother-in-law for providing us tickets. We were going to take a carriage ride to the cemetery, but it was $10.00 per person so we decided to pass. I might blog later on this evening. I just wanted to get these pictures uploaded since they were on my phone, and I have never put pictures on here before. Is anyone actually still reading these blogs?

II Corinthians 5:17 (NIV Bible)

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! "

This verse certainly stuck out when I saw all the creation around me, and especially the butterflies.

To Market, To Market

My mom and I arrived safely this morning around 11:30 am in Charleston, SC to help duck and dog sit for my sister and brother-in-law while they are in Spain. They called to let us know they made it there safely. My sister said that on one side of their condo they had beautiful mountains, and on the other side the Mediterranean Sea, but they need water just as bad as we do. They called to check in on their "children...the dog and duck." I have no clue what they are going to do when they have children. My sister left us an entire table full of notes for the few days we are here. We will be here until Tuesday sometime. It's been quite awhile since I have been to Charleston, but I just love the atmosphere. My mom and I headed to the market...I was actually looking for a South Carolina ring, but no such luck. I loved seeing all the ladies making the baskets, hearing the clip clops of the horses as they were taking people on carriage rides around the city, and just simply watching all the many different types of people that were down there. Then we headed to McAllister's Deli, and shared a baked potato. That was the first time I had actually ever eaten at one, and it was delicious. I got some lemonade to drink, and boy did that make me pucker, but it seems to be helping my jaw. After a good deal of trying to find the Tanger Outlets we finally succeeded. I mean you would think that would be a HUGE tourist trap, and have plenty of signs, but no we went on several different roads before actually finding it. I found a few good bargains, and then we stopped at the gas station to get the basics that we needed for tomorrow, and now we are home just chilling and relaxing.
My allergic reaction seems to be getting somewhat better...it's not as red, and not as bad itchy. So that's a good sign. I would take a picture, but deem that inappropriate. It's weird how my body knows when it's nighttime because I seem to only start itching then. Tomorrow I think my mom and I are going to Cypress Gardens to look at the "flutterbys" as I used to call them when I was little. We are going to try and go in the morning so hopefully it won't be to hot, and I can avoid the sun at all cost!

Jaw Update

For those of you that are wondering I went to the Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialist this morning, and he said that I still have an infection in my jaw, but the medicine I'm taking for the allergic reaction should help it greatly. He also said I have something like the mumps, but not the mumps. Whatever that's supposed to mean. I'm to visit him again in another 6 weeks unless the swelling flares up again, and then I have to see him right away. It was kind of hard for him to tell because my face is read, and somewhat swollen. It looks like I got a HORRIBLE sunburn on it. I'm a little tired of visiting doctors this week. I have been to 3 different ones in less than 24 hours. The dermatologist said if I hadn't come in yesterday to see her then I would be in the hospital with this allergic reaction. That's how bad it is. The only bad thing about this medicine is it literally feels like I'm on fire. Yesterday it made my lips tingle and burn, and today it did the same thing to my chin and neck. So I guess we will see where it heads next. Prayers are still appreciated. It's weird. So I put an ice pack on it, and that certainly seemed to take care of the problem. Please pray that I get some sleep tonight. I haven't been able to sleep for the past two nights..so needless to say I'm running on energy, and it's NOT fun. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. Tomorrow my mom and I are heading to Charleston to dog and duck sit for my sister and brother-in-law who are spending a week in Spain for their honeymoon. They weren't really able to take one when they got married since they both teach school so this is well needed for both of them, and then on to the beach for the rest of the week. Should be an interesting time since I can't stay in the sun for very long.

Thank you http://mrdearybury.blogspot.com for helping me to come up with my Blog Name. Also to http://macaronincheeseagain.blogspot.com for helping me not be so blog illiterate. :) I appreciate both of you!

I will try and post through out the week while I'm on vacation as Internet will allow. Thanks for reading!

Got fleas?

Got Fleas? Well I don't, but I certainly feel like I rolled around in a fire ant bed or someone put itching powder in my clothes. Wanted to keep you updated, and I might write more later just depends on how I'm feeling. Yesterday I woke up with some sort of rash on my stomach area. It got progressively worse as the day wore on, but went to the doctor this morning to find out I was allergic to one of the medicines I was taking. So I'm going to relax on the couch, and hopefully not scratch to much. Needless to say I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night, and I thought I was supposed to be starting my vacation? The rash has now spread, and I just want to take a garden rake and scratch it. Please continue to remember me in prayer I still have an Ear, Nose and Throat appointment tomorrow at 9:10am to find out what's going on with my jaw. The medicine the doctor gave me prevents me from going out in the sun for very long...well vacation is at the beach. So we will see how all that works out. I'm just thanking Jesus and trying to stay positive. Things could be much worse.

On a lighter note one of my good friends Leah and her boyfriend are flying to Texas today. Leah is in a wedding, and so my mom and I took them to the airport at about 4:45 this morning. Also my roommate, Mollie, and her sister Katie are flying to China today to visit with her parents and sister. Please pray for all of their safety there and back.

Story Behind..."God of this City"

Jesusgreek: Their Story: Story Behind "God of this City"

God of This City-Chris Tomlin

You're the God of this city
You're the King of these people
You're the Lord of this nation
You Are

Bridge:
For there is no one like our God
There is no one like our God

Chorus 1:
Greater things have yet to come
Great things are still to be done
In this city
Greater things are still to come
And greater things are still to be done here

Verse 2:
You're the Lord of Creation
The Creator of all things
You're the King above all Kings
You Are

You're the strength in our weakness
You're the love to the broken
You're the joy in the sadness
You Are

Chorus 2:
Greater things have yet to come
Great things are still to be done
In this city
Where glory shines from hearts alive
With praise for you and love for you
In this city

Greater things have yet to come
Great things are still to be done
In this city
Greater things are still to come
And greater things are still to be done here

Ever get a song stuck in your head?? Well this one has been in mine a week now. Lyrics usually speak to me sometimes more than words. I just can't imagine or grasp the concept that greater things are yet to be done. How awesome is that? The incredible thing about that is I get to be a part of it..we all do if we are saved. Are you one of those that is looking for "greater things that are yet to come?" Hebrews 13:14 says..."For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come." Just read the words to that song again, and let them soak in. Please don't be one of those people who think that God is finished...know that He is the God of the City, King of these people, and Lord of this nation.

On a more lighter note..I'm heading home this afternoon, and taking some vacation time. So I'm not sure how often I will be able to post. Happy Wednesday :)

1st Blog

I'm going to try this again. I started last week blogging, but everytime I re-read it didn't care for the way it sounded, but today is a new day so we are trying again! Not really sure why I even feel the urge to blog these days. It's probably because I enjoy getting my feelings out on paper. Please say an extra prayer for my jaw. It's been hurting for right at a month now, and I still have a huge knot on the right side. Last week I ran a fever of 103 for about three days, and it was swollen like a golf ball. Which caused me not to be able to go to Curves. You don't realize what a difference something is making until you can't go anymore. Hopefully I will be back up and going this week. The Doctor says that I have a stone in my jaw...who even knew there was such a thing? Not me! I have been on two different types of antibotics, and I have to go see an ear, nose and throat specialist this coming Friday. Hopefully we can get to the root of this problem. It's weird because my teeth, throat, ear nothing hurts...just simply a knot.

Ok, enough about me. God has been truly amazing lately in what he is showing and teaching me. It's the little things that make such a big difference. He knows my needs, and when to send people to meet them. I had a pretty rough weekend just a lot on my mind, and worried about my jaw, but He NEVER fails...My roommate and I went out to eat with a Chinese lady that works in Traveler's Rest, and then we took her to her first American Baseball Game, Greenville Drive. I think she had fun even though she didn't really understand what was going on. It was just nice to see all the different types of people God created. Some short, fat, tall, skinny, black, white, chinese, and the list could continue.

I think this is enough for my first blog. Please read, and tell me what you think. I'm looking for ways to improve.
