Hear me Roar

Well I watched the USC vs. NC State game, and if I do say so myself that was a pretty pathetic game. I mean USC didn't even score until the 3rd quarter. I know you won, but really...you played a team that's barely even a football team. Anyways, I'm waiting to watch the Clemson Tigers play tomorrow, and yes we may lose, but that's because Alabama actually has a decent football team. So sorry USC, but do better!
Ok enough of that for the morning. I can't believe it's already Labor Day weekend. I'm heading to Fort Mill for the weekend to meet my parnets, and then tonight we are heading to Moncks Corner to watch the Berkley Stags play their first football game. (My Brother-in-law) is the Defensive Coach there). Hopefully they have a pretty good team this year. Then I think Saturday I running errands, getting my oil changes, and maybe doing a little shopping. Sunday is church, and then Monday if the weather is nice I plan on hanging out at the neighborhood pool, then Tuesday dentist appointment and back to work I got. I also can't believe my mom's big retirement party is next weekend. It should be fun, and I think there are about 200 plus people coming to it. Happy Labor Day weekend!!

Thursday Typings

I know that I haven't posted in awhile, but no one reads this anymore. I think it was fun for the first week, and then people lost interest. I wanted to write today because it's been monsoon season up here at NGU, but today I can look out my window at work, and enjoy God's Beauty. Just from my window alone I can see the mountains, trees, grass, flowers, etc. The sun is shining, and it'a a beautiful day. Just wanted to say thank you for the rain. So often we complain, but we needed it bad. Hope that all is going well in blog land. If you haven't seen America's Got Talent you should watch it next Tuesday. Please say a prayer for my back. It hurts, but not all the time. So not really sure what is wrong with it. My mom thinks maybe I have been working out to much. So I'm not going to Curves tomorrow or Saturday so we will see if that makes it feel any better. I burned 435 calories yesterday, and I was so proud of myself.

Another Semester??

There's been a lot going on. Such as school starting, and trying to get back in the Swing of things, but I figured people don't read this anyways so what's the point of trying to blog every single night. So I have decided that I'm only going to blog when I want or feel the need to. If you think about it one of our students passed away this week after a bout with cancer. He was a player on the basketball team so just keep them and your families in your prayers. I can't believe that school has started back already. The men are working hard to try and get the roof back on, but for the time being I have to go up the Fire Escape outside of Neves to get inside...kind of scary because it wobbles, and it's the only way in and out. I can't believe that my mom's retirement party is in like 2 weeks. Crazy stuff. Until next time...stay out of trouble :)There is like one month and a few days until Christmas music listening day!!!!!

Awesome Weekend

Never fear fellow bloggers..I'm back in the swing of things. The reason I didn't blog this weekend is because I went to visit my best friend and her husband in Georgia. I hadn't seen them since the wedding back in March. Friday night we played Rock Band, and I pretty much stink at that game, but it was still fun none the less. We ordered pizza, and Jonathan and I both like stuffed crust. Saturday Margaret-Ann and I chilled in our pajama's until like 1:00 just talking and stuff. Then we ran a few errands, and met some other friends for Japanese. We then came back to their house and played Cranium and Apples to Apples. The girls won at both games by the way. Then we stayed up and watched Michael Phelps win his 8th Olympic Medal. That guy is AMAZING! Today we went to church, and then out to Shane's BBQ. I had never eaten at one until today, but I won't complain. We then went to Lowe's because they are fixing little things in their house. Tonight I ate at Jonathan's parent's house because she insisted that I stay and eat. So now I'm watching more Olympics, and I'm about to head to bed. Upperclassmen move in tomorrow.

Wise Wednesday

Today I thought I was going to switch offices, but I ended up staying in Fine Arts all day. I think I typed from the time I got there until like 15 minutes before it was time for me to leave. Talk about a headache...I felt like I was going to throw up afterwards, but I made it to Curves to work-out. I felt like I was going to pass out. We finally got the Curves Smart Machines, and I'm ready to learn how to use it. My appointment isn't until August 27th though. From what I have seen and heard it's going to be tougher. It lets you know if you are working to your full potential or not. Freshman move in on Friday...where did the summer go? Oh I remember I was sick for most of it. Katie and Jody cooked dinner for all of us again. I could get used to coming home every night, and supper already on the table. :)

Tuesday

Sorry to all the many readers (ha) for not blogging yesterday, but something was wrong with our Internet, and it wouldn't let me on last night. Yesterday I was in White Hall, and I just tried to organize some stuff, and get it ready for school to start. I'm not sure when the regular secretary is coming back. Then I got back, and Katie and Jody (Mollie's sisters) had fixed supper for us. Mollie had class, but Seth joined us. Then Katie, Jody, and I went to the Dillard House for ice cream. I have got to start going to bed at a decent hour instead of staying up and watching the Olympics.

Merry Monday

All the athletes came back to NGU today, and Band Camp started so it was pretty hectic around there. I typed some more stuff for Dr. Griffin. Ginger and Meredith took me to Subway for lunch. Meredith has a really nice 2009 car, and she's a safe driver too. Not to much happening. Hopefully there will be something better to blog about later in the week. Sorry this one is so short.

Secular Sunday

This morning I was finally able to go to NewSpring Greenville. I think they have been open for 5 weeks, but with all my sickness and stuff going on then this was my first Sunday. I was a little nervous because I'm not very good with directions, but I made it there and back safely. Perry is doing a series called "You Asked For It," and today he was talking about if we should be a part of culture of not. You should watch it online to see what his answer was. I like the setup there, but it's going to take a little getting used to because the music is live, and then you watch the sermon on the screen. I went to the pool for a little while, but I personally didn't want to hear about other people's sex lives or their vulgar mouths. So we left, and been watching the Olympics and just resting.

Superb Saturday

I know I know...I'm such a slacker, and didn't post again last night. I got up yesterday and went to Curves, came back and showered, and then went and met my dad, grandmother, and cousin. We went to a place in Spartanburg called Wade's. It was like a meat and three that's been around forever. Then I got back around 4:00, and Mollie, Katie, Josh, Jody, and myself went to Downtown Greenville. We walked around, and then ate at sticky Fingers and then got Marble Slab. We didn't get in till after 11:00.

Opening Ceremonies

Today was errand running day, and I met my old roommate for lunch. I'm finishing watching the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympics, and I can't help but think of the song I used to sing when I was a child...."Red, and Yellow, Black, and White...they are precious in His sight...Jesus loves the little children of the world." I know they aren't children technically, but just to think that He created ALL of them in His image amazes me. I look forward to watching the rest of the Olympics. I thought it was precious when China came out, and the little boy that survived the earthquake walked with them. I also look forward to watching when a country wins a medal, and how the will react to their countries national anthem. I'm tried, and I'm heading to bed.

Toned down Thursday

Today I made a few snowflakes on the website that I listed yesterday. They are expecting another bad storm tonight so please pray that NGU doesn't get hit again. I took a nap, and it was GREAT! I'm watching Larry King Live with Steven Curtis Chapman. I still can't imagine what they are going through, and then I'm going to watch some of America's Got Talent. I really haven't watched that much TV this week, and I'm proud of myself. Tomorrow I'm meeting with my old roommate for lunch, and then my old co-worker, Michelle. I miss that girl a TON!!! She was also my Curves buddy. The Olympics start tomorrow, and I'm excited. I enjoy watching the opening and closing ceremonies, and then watching how people react when their national anthem is played, and they receive their medal.

Way to go Wednesday

I'm glad I know where I'm going when I die...because it was hotter than you know where today. Today is my day to switch between Fine Arts and Humanities and Christian Studies. So I spent most of the morning in Fine Arts typing once again, and trying to organize a few things. Then went to White Hall for the rest of the afternoon. I did catch up on some more letters, and also played a couple of games of Mexican Train on the computer..lost most all the rounds. Then I headed to Curves, and I'm glad that they are not charging me for a month since I had all that medical stuff going on. So that was certainly a blessing. Then I came home, and made chicken lasagna, and Leah came over. I do have to say that it turned out pretty yummy.

http://www.popularfront.com/snowdays/ You should all visit this site, it will make you feel cooler at least. Make a snowflake, and then let me know so I can view it. ENJOY :)

Tales from Tuesday

Today was a good day. I caught up once again on some letter writing. I expect some back in return. They are still working on the Adm building, and Neves. I hope they hurry and finish because we are expecting more rain on Thursday. This evening I was able to meet Katie, her son, (Micahah). I can't believe he will be one next Thursday. Seems like he was just born. and Mrs. Garrett at Ruby Tuesday's. It was simply a good time to catch up. Katie and I figured it out, and the last time we got together was 3 months ago. It must not be that long until the next time. I came home and watched Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Beauty and the Geek, and America's Got Talent. Then I'm heading to bed! Tomorrow I'm making chicken lasagna...yummy :)

Main Monday

Well it's starting to be that time of year again. Not typing a lot this evening because I'm about to go watch the Mole, and also because my fingers hurt from typing. I'm pretty sure that's ALL I did today from the time i got to work till the time I left. I only got on Facebook once, and if you know me that's rare. Mollie and I realized tonight at supper that we had free tickets to the Greenville Drive Game last night, but totally forgot and missed it. I think I'm seriously addicted to eating sunflower seeds. I can't seem to get enough of the saltiness. Today was my first day back at Curves, and I was actually excited to go and work out. Have to lose some pounds that the medicine made me gain.

Sleepy Sunday

This morning we were dog tired so slept in, and then my mom worked on typing up some papers once again from the 70's the Dr. Griffin needs. Finally I was able to head to the pool. I haven't been to the pool in like a month. So I was glad I was able to go. I ran in and took a shower, and then ate a yummy bacon sandwich my dad had made. Then I got on the road around 4:30. I got home, and I just felt like some things in my room were a mess so I straightened them up, and unpacked everything. I'm sitting here trying to find something decent to watch on television. I can't believe that the weekend is already over.

Strange Saturday

Sorry I didn't post last night. I was still feeling a little under the weather after having my stint taken out, but I did pass a medium size stone. So that's a good thing. My dad's uncle passed away and so we headed to Virginia...it was about a 4 hour trip there and back. I had a headache off and on all day yesterday, and I missed my friend Kimmy's going away/birthday party. I'm so sorry. So there is the reason I didn't post yesterday. I came home, and went straight to bed.

Stint Free

The stint is out!!! I still have 3 minor stones in my left kidney, but the lithotripsy got the one that was bothering me, and some of the one closest to it. There is still another one, and I might have that one lithotripsied sometime in November. Now I just get to wait and see what was causing all of these. Hopefully it will be something simple. Thanks for all the prayers and concerns. What a relief that was, and I actually feel better now that it's out. The Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist said that my "jaw" stone looked good as well, and to drink lemonade. I'm not a big fan, but if it will help my stones then I certainly will. We went and ate some good seafood tonight. I feel like all I ever do is blog about eating. :) Tonight is going to be a short blog because my dad's uncle passed away in Virginia, and we are heading to the funeral tomorrow at 5am...so need some beauty sleep...in more ways than one.
